Mr Beer American Craft Series 1.3kg - Bewitched Amber Ale - 13 Pint Beer Kit

  • Makes 13 pints of American Style Amber Ale - ideal for smaller fermenters
  • Bewitched Amber Ale - Vibrant amber hues, velvety smooth caramel malt character. Even bitterness and delicate citrus hop aroma. This Amber Ale epitomises the characteristics that makes this style a microbrewery standard.
  • Ready to drink in around 3-4 weeks.
  • All ingredients included. No additional sugar required. Like many of our beer kits it is possible to experiment with the addition of spraymalt, liquid malt extract or additional hops. See our other items.
  • Full instructions are included. These are measured in US quarts so see below for UK instructions.
  • You will require basic brewing equipment to make the kit and also a pressure barrel or beer bottles for the final storage and conditioning.

MR BEER KIT METRIC INSTRUCTIONS

 

  1. Sanitise all brewing equipment

  2. Remove yeast from under lid and place can in hot tap water for 15 minutes to soften contents.

  3. Fill your fermentation vessel with cold water to the 4 litre mark

  4. Place 3 cups of water into a clean 3 litre pot bring to a boil and remove from heat then slowly stir the contents of the can into the pot. Swirl a small amount of hot tap water in the can to dissolve any remaining extract.

  5. Carefully pour hot contents of pot into the fermenter.

  6. Add additional cold water to the fermenter to to bring the volume to 8.5 litres

  7. Stir vigorously with a sterilised spoon to mix well

  8. Sprinkle in yeast then place lid on fermenter

  9. Allow to sit for a minimum of ten days out of direct sunlight, with a consistent temperature of 20C - 24C.

  10. Once fermentation is complete transfer to bottles or keg adding priming sugar as required.

  11. Store out of direct sunlight, with a consistent temperature of 20C - 24C for two weeks to condition.

  12. After two weeks, allow to settle, chill and enjoy!

  • Northwest Pale Ale - A classic US craft brew style pale ale, rich amber colour, full malt character coming through with a highly refreshing citrus hop aroma and clean bitter finish
  • Ready to drink in around 3-4 weeks.
